Introduction of the ISO 14001 system at FerroECOBlast

And so we jumped into 2022, all cool and healthy, setting our neurons back in motion. I hope it’s been the same for you.What’s up with me? You know, quality never rests. Remember my last blog? I mentioned that together with my colleagues, we were having a “Course for internal auditors of the environmental management system ISO 14001:2015”. That’s right! The company’s management has decided to obtain the EN ISO 14001:2015 certificate in 2020, so at the beginning of 2021 we started implementing the system, followed by a course for internal auditors. Therefore, at the beginning of 2021, we conducted internal trainings for ISO auditors according to the EN ISO 14001 standard. We conducted basic training on the environmental management system and thus acquired 7 internal auditors who will, in addition to the ISO 9001:2015 quality management system, also perform assessments of the environmental management system ISO 14001:2015. The next step in installing the system was to properly examine the environmental requirements, legislation and supplement the system with documents. We prepared various documents, upgraded business processes, and wrote work instructions. Upon completion of the documentation, all employees were informed and trained in the environmental management system. Finally, the implementation of the system into processes followed.

This made us reach a turning point in our quality management system. At the end of 2021, the company successfully performed the official ratification assessment of the ISO 9001:2015 system and at the same time successfully completed the efforts to obtain the ISO 14001:2015 environmental management system certificate. Thus, we confirm that in addition to successful quality management, we also properly manage all environmental aspects of our business. A team of two external auditors from the Bureau Veritas certification house carefully reviewed all processes during a two day visit and found that we are a well-organized company that achieves its results through quality work and operates in accordance with legislation and regulations. Based on the successfully performed assessment, we obtained the ISO 14001 certificate and extended the validity of our ISO 9001 certificate.

The established and maintained system of quality and environmental management is extremely important for our international company, as with its help we strive for continuous improvement and continuous development of our services, customer satisfaction and awareness of environmental protection.

As long as the organization has an environmental management system in place, it needs to be monitored, audited and further improved.
